Lindsay Maudling awarded Young Employee of the Year at the PoSBOs.
“I feel so lucky to be in a job that I am so passionate about and I’d like to say thanks to NE Youth for nominating me and supporting me in my role as Youth Development Worker and helping me to achieve this award. I feel incredibly proud of where I am today and can’t believe that I won this award – it was such an incredible experience.”
NE Youth Member Network Volunteer of the Month
If you are working with an outstanding volunteer then please do nominate them. Every month one awardee wins the Volunteer of the Month Award and their fantastic voluntary work is showcased online through social media and our e-newsletter and website. You can nominate your volunteers here!
Anyone can nominate, whether you’re someone who works with and/or manages a volunteer, or a friend or family member. This Award is open to all volunteers (aged 11+) who are involved at your club/organisation and are affiliated members of NE Youth. Past winners include:
October 2016 – Francesca Wilkinson from Buffalo Community Centre
“Francesca has been volunteering here now for a few years and at only the age of 14 years old has been such an inspiration to us all here, the young people look up to her as a role model and she is always willing to help and get involved with activities with the young people. Francesca sorts almost everything out we do she is such a quick learner and is fantastic with all people of all ages, she is well respected in the centre by staff and volunteers. There is so much more we could say about this young lady and what she means to us all as well as the young people, we know that Fran has potential to be a great leader and is a fantastic role model and a pleasure to work with we would be lost without her and so would the young people.”
September 2016 – Paul Cozens from Silx Teen
“Paul is definitely an asset to our team here at Silx and we are very proud of the progress he had made so far and can see him going far.”
May 2016 – Shannon Burns from NDAS Hexham
“I am nominating Shannon as she is a funny, brave and inspiring young woman. She gives everything 100% and I feel very lucky to have her in our team of volunteers.”
NE Youth is proud to be partnering with vInspired to offer the vInspired Awards!
The vInspired Awards
The vInspired Awards reward and recognise the hours young people spend volunteering or taking part in Social Action: https://vinspired.com/get-awards
vInspired works with hundreds of partner organisations who embed the Awards into their volunteering programmes. Using the Awards as a way to not only reward and retain their volunteers but also helping them into employment, college and University.
In the past three years 20,000 young people received a vInspired Award!
vInspired offer young people the opportunity to apply for a v10, v30, v50 and v100 award. Supporting them along the way through our digital platform to reflect upon the skills they have gained.
All young people need to do is create a vInspired account: https://vinspired.com/sign-up and start logging their volunteering hours until they have clocked up enough hours to apply for an award. We will provide you with certificates to give to your volunteers.
vInspired also hosts thousands of volunteering opportunities on vInspired.com for 14-25 year olds; https://vinspired.com/volunteer
