Bespoke Support Services

NE Youth recognises that organisations require, from time to time, some additional ‘bespoke’support. Within our staff team we have extensive knowledge, skills and experience available to provide a wide range of support and services.

We very much see this as an opportunity for NE Youth to generate important unrestricted income that will support our own core services in the future. We have been heartened by the feedback and particularly the resultsfrom our recent work in this area and are therefore keen to build and extend these services.

Our consultancy services can help and assist in the following key areas:

  • Strategic and Organisational Development
  • Training
  • Business Development
  • Quality Assurance – Ambition Quality Mark
  • Research and Development
  • Project Management and Evaluation
  • Fundraising

An example of a key contribution within this area of work was at the Barmoor Hub (Formally Ryton and Crawcrook Youth Centre). A Youth Work Development Plan was created and funding sourced to set up two new youth work opportunities for local young people. Support is on-going at the Hub to complete Ambition Quality Mark and to identify further opportunities to engage young people.

“Working with NE Youth has been a thoroughly worthwhile, cost-effective and productive experience that has supported 3 different youth organisations with business planning, financial management, quality improvement and policy development.”

Ray Dodd (Service Manager – Adolescent Youth Service, Gateshead Council)

Quote From Members

“We found ourselves in the position where we needed a little bit of short-term staffing support, so I contacted NE Youth who were able to provide a member of staff at a very competitive rate. The individual they sent was the consummate professional, fitted in with the rest of the team, needed little to no direction; was full of enthusiasm and ideas and when the time came for them to leave, all of the young people were sad to see him go. I wouldn’t hesitate in turning to NE Youth again if the need arises in the future.”

Dave Hewitt (Business Development Manager – Denton Youth & Community Project)

“Working with NE Youth has allowed Auckland Youth and Community Centre to develop a number of key priorities for the next 3 years and beyond. This was through a well organised and thought-provoking development day for both staff and trustees delivered by NE Youth. Building on the experienced knowledge and expertise of NE Youth, it has allowed AYCC to develop better experiences and outcomes for all children, young people and adults who use our service.”

Corporate Events and Sponsorship

Corporate Engagement continues to be key priority for NE Youth. We are incredibly fortunate to have developed some really positive relationships over many years which have secured valuable financial resources that have helped to sustain our work and provide key services for our members and young people.

In November 2015, hosted by our President, His Grace the Duke of Northumberland, we held an Anniversary Dinner at Alnwick Castle. This provided an opportunity to thank our loyal funders and corporate partners and to also engage with potential new supporters moving forward.

Our regular fundraising events continue to flourish thanks to the incredible commitment of individuals who assist us to plan and sell places and also all of the companies that attend and give generously to support our work. Our upcoming events are as follows;

At our recent Burns Night Ball on 27th January 2017 we showed our thanks and appreciation to Nick Manson from Manson’s Property, who for 5 years has led the Ball and assisted us to raise over £90,000. At the Ball, Nick was presented with a thank you message on behalf of Blaydon Inclusive Group (below).

We are also exploring other ways in which to engage corporates and we have developed a leaflet that enables us to articulate our offer to corporates. This focuses upon the following;

  • Increasing Social Action and Environmental Impact
  • Engaging Employees
  • Promoting Your Brand
  • Entertaining Customers.

“Thank you very much for organising such a wonderful event – we had a most enjoyable day on the Thursday with great fun being had by all.  Bywell is a superb venue and we were looked after very well by the whole team. The lunch was very good and thoroughly enjoyed by myself and my guests.I hope the whole event was a great success and that a lot of money was raised for such a well deserving cause.”

Rory Wilson (Northumberland Estates)

Sponsorship Opportunities

NE Youth would also like to discuss sponsorship opportunities with local companies. The opportunities range from sponsoring our corporate events to supporting our events and activities with young people. For example British Engines have sponsored our outdoor soccer sixes for two years now.

“We were delighted to sponsor the NE Youth Soccer Sixes Tournament again this year.  Congratulations to all the winners and to everyone involved in making the event such a success.”

Alex Lamb (Chairman of British Engines)
