Our Annual Project with Pride Awards are back and we’re excited to launch the Nomination form and criteria for the 2020 Awards. Unfortunately, we’ve not been able to bring you a celebration event this year due to the pandemic, but we do still want to celebrate and shout out about all the amazing work within our member network that has happened over this last year. Remember, the nominations are from July 2019 – November 2020. Projects with Pride Awards is about celebrating and recognising our members’ achievements and talents over the previous year.
There will be 11 award categories this year, and a new award for 2020 Community Champion / Project of the Year. Organisations can enter what they consider to be their best examples of volunteering and work with young people and nominate an individual young person/group/volunteer/ staff member for an award.
Judging – An independent judging panel will meet w/c 11th January 2021 and assess the nomination forms for the 11 categories. We will shortlist 3 nominations in each category.
Announcement of the Winners – We will announce the winners of the awards w/c 18th January 2021 and will arrange to personally drop off trophies and certificate to winners after that date. All nominees will also receive a certificate which will be emailed to the nominator.
We will develop a promo video and share on all our comms and social media channels and will send to the press to get some good PR on the awards and nominees/winners. All winners will also be formally invited back to Projects with Pride 2021 Celebration Event, which we aim to make next year’s event even bigger and better than before giving the year we’ve all just had. All winners will be invited on stage to be formally recognised for their achievements.
Remember, please provide a photo with all entries that we can use in our presentation video which will be shared w/c 18th January 2021. (Please note; we will only use appropriate information, no sensitive information will be shared. Please also make sure that you have obtained photo consent for a third party to use the image)
The awards are open to all young people, staff/volunteers aged 11+ who are involved in your organisation. All organisations submitting nominations must be an NE Connected Member of NE Youth.
National Keystone Awards – there is no winner, everyone will receive a certificate based on their years’ service. This National Award is for recognition to voluntary service of 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 years’ service and open to NE Youth Connected Members. If you have any volunteers (in any role within your organisation), who has dedicated 10 years or more then please spend a couple of minutes to show your appreciation and celebrate their contribution by nominating them for an award.
Closing Date – The deadline for return of all nomination forms (including pictures and supporting evidence) is COP Friday 8th January 2021.
