On Saturday 12th November, the British Drilling Association hosted their annual awards and presentation evening at the Hilton in Gateshead.
The Awards change location every year, and this year NE Youth were invited to be the charity recipients of the fundraising activities at their 2022 Dinner in the North East.
Guests were treated to a game of Heads and Tails, hosted by NE Youth CEO Jon Niblo, before the Awards kicked off. These followed a delicious 3 course dinner and entertainment from a local band.
Fundraising activities included a Silent Auction, Raffle and a generous donation from the cost of the tickets.
Over £3,000 was raised on the evening, which is a generous sum of money that will contribute massively to the core costs of running our activities with young people aged 11-25 across the North East.
NE Youth would like to thank the British Drilling Association and their guests, and a special thank you to Joel Stevens for nominating NE Youth to be the charity beneficiary on the night.
NE Youth’s Business Development Manager Emma Rundle said:
“The British Drilling Association Dinner is a prime example of how sectors can come together to collaborate, share best practise and do great things. The funds raised on the night are of great importance to NE Youth and will enable us to reach more young people across the North East. Thank you to everyone involved for such a great evening.”
