Last month, three of our incredible Peer Action Collective (PAC) were invited to Parliament to speak about issues facing young people in schools relating to PSHE. They have used their own experiences of school exclusions and youth violence to carry out peer-led research with over 400 young people from across the North East. They presented the findings to assembled MPs to create awareness and gain support.
We’re very proud of these brilliant young people (Penny, Lucy and Ellie) for their hard work, dedication and exemplary attitude to their important roles.
Thanks to Liz Twist for inviting NE Youth and our PAC to experience such a memorable day.
Take a look at their epic day in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaBBzJDZgYk
Liz said: “I was so impressed by just how articulate they were that I invited them down to parliament to speak to more MPs.”
A memorable day for all involved as NE Youth continues to advocate for young people, supports their action and strives to help as many young people in the region have their voices heard by MPs, policy makers and local government.
