Why the NE Youth Impact Awards Matter
Every year, NE Youth is proud to celebrate the incredible achievements of our members at the NE Youth Impact Awards, held at The Grand Hotel Gosforth Park.
This members-only event is more than just a night out—it’s a celebration of the people who make a difference across the North East. From young people stepping up as leaders, to youth workers, volunteers, and those who keep our member organisations thriving, the awards shine a light on the impact being made in local communities.
A Night to Remember
Last year, almost 300 members joined us for an evening of food, games, prizes, and dancing. The atmosphere was electric as we received hundreds of nominations and handed out 13 awards to some truly inspiring recipients.
Guests left feeling connected, appreciated, and motivated for the year ahead—proof that our membership community is stronger together.
As CEO Jon Niblo put it:
“The NE Youth Impact Awards is our most satisfying event of the year, as we are able to engage with our members and reward their amazing work. Once more, we are looking to highlight the accomplishments of people from all areas of our membership and look forward to this year’s entries.”
Powered by Sponsors
Of course, none of this would be possible without the support of our generous sponsors. Their commitment goes beyond a logo on the night—they play an active role in the nomination shortlisting process, helping us to recognise and reward youth work across the region.
For 2025, we’re seeking:
• A headline sponsor
• Individual award sponsors

It’s a fantastic opportunity for businesses and organisations who want to align with the energy, resilience, and creativity of young people in the North East.
