NE Youth are so proud of Throckley Youth Project, who hosted the incredibly successful ‘Bringing Throckley Together’ Family Fun Day on the 4th August 2022.

The success of the day is the result of months of hard work, as the group concluded their Inspire 2022 Social Action Project with a focus on fundraising to install a defibrillator into Throckley Sports Pavillion, where the group are based 2 nights a week.

We are delighted to announce that the day raised £765, which is a huge contribution to buying a defibrillator for the centre – something which the young people are extremely passionate about.

Over 200 people from Throckley and the surrounding areas attended the event, and the venue was beaming full of families and young people having fun in the sunshine.

With the support of their Youth Workers, the young people planned Boxing Workshops, Football, Archery, Hook-a-Duck, a Smoothie Bike, a DJ, a Rodeo Bull, a Hot Dog stand, Bungee Run and a Gladiator Inflatable. We also had Alex, aged 13, have a stand that sold her own homemade jewellery which was really successful.
