NE Youth are so proud of the young people from Stepney Bank Stables who successful held a community event to pack winter survival packs for Destiny Streetworx Homelessness charity and ran a positive social media campaign to raise awareness of homelessness in the North East and change communities perceptions around homelessness.

The event was the final part of a Inspire 2022 Social action project which involved months of hard work and research by young people.

With the support of NE Youth Members, Stepney Bank Stables, young people were able to fulfil 50 winter survival packs to be gifted in Newcastle over the festive period. These survival packs contained food vouchers, snacks, blankets, hats, gloves and useful toiletries. Find out more about their social media campaign on our NE Youth Online Facebook Page.

Inspire 2022 is funded from Spirit of 2012 and the #iwill Fund, (a joint investment between The National Lottery Community Fund and Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport), designed in partnership with Local Trust, and delivered by UK Youth).
