NE Youth’s 2023 Clay Pigeon Shoot Event has raised an incredible £73,017 net of all costs.

The Corporate Clay Pigeon Shoot took place on Friday 16th June and the John Shallcross Memorial Shoot took place on Sunday 18th June. Both events were set in the stunning Hulne Priory in Alnwick.

Over 360 individuals were in attendance over the weekend, with a record-breaking 63 teams entering for the chance to prove their shot and win top prizes.

Guests were welcomed to a light breakfast and refreshments, before spending a few hours out in the sunshine shooting clays. They were then treated to a delicious lunch and free flowing bar on the Friday.

We had some incredible prizes donated from generous individuals and businesses, which formed a high-quality auction and raffle for both days. These prizes included the use of a BMW i4 for 24 hours, kindly donated by Vertu BMW Sunderland. The presentation of awards then followed, with the below teams taking a prize:

  • 3rd Place – PCD UK

John Shallcross Memorial Shoot

  • Winner – Silvermoor Equestrian Haylage
  • 2nd Place – R Thornton & Co
  • 3rd Place – Chatton Trout Fishery

The huge amount of money raised is astonishing, and is the most NE Youth have ever raised in the long history of this event. As well as providing core, unrestricted income to support NE Youth’s overheads, this funding can also fund 2 full time Youth Workers for a year. These Youth Workers will support over 600 young people aged 11-25 through information, advice and guidance and a rewarding programme of youth activities.

These events do not just happen, they take amazing individuals and businesses who take the time and energy needed to pull off a fundraiser of this scale.
