NE Youth takes the health and wellbeing of our staff very seriously. We have a dedicated Staff Wellbeing Committee which works hard to ensure that our employees get the social, physical and psychological support they need to be the best they can be at work and beyond.
Women make up nearly half of the UK workforce, but around 900,000 have quit their jobs because of the menopause. These statistics are shocking and as such NE Youth has committed to:
- Recognising that the menopause can be an issue in the workplace and women need support
- Talking openly, positively and respectfully about the menopause
- Actively supporting and informing our employees affected by the menopause
NE Youth Deputy CEO Gemma Lockyer Turnbull said:
‘We are an organisation committed to ensuring that our staff are able to flourish at work and we understand that menopause can be a significant period in women’s lives. Signing the pledge and carrying out the commitments demonstrates, once again, that NE Youth is doing all we can to support our staff and to be an employer of choice in the region.’
